Deprived is the way to go in souls games imo.
Nothing quite like starting with nothing then making do with whatever you find until you eventually get really strong with what you found/achieved yourself.

I like this a lot. The soul's linked memories is a cool concept and and as far as it would not be an easy feature to implement in the game, it would add far more emotional deep than all those scattered lore pieces.

This is highly relevant to my interests :) i thought the flashback of the cemetaey was a beautiful touch. I hope there will be more like that to come. I always love to imagine just how wonderful These places would have looked in their prime.

Simply amazing, the journey from wretched cinder to sparking flame drawn out. This artist's take on how souls affect the unkindled ashe is also a very nice idea, made me replay through the game trying to imagine things such as how and why the enemies were.

As a Souls veteran and fan, this pleases me intensely. I can't wait to see how this will proceed, how the best fights in the series will go, and where we'll proceed questline wise.

I've run into this guys work a couple times, he made a fantastic albeit pornographic cyoa adventure called Overlad that has completely disappeared from the internet, do to some error or misfortune his work deleted itself and the adventure went unfinished.

He then started another adventure on the Something Awful forums which had a good start but when the mods had found out he was a porn artist they shut down that game too. He redeemed himself in the mods eyes by making a ridiculas joke game for everyone there and they went on to let him make another slightly serious game.

When he slowed down the updates because he was animating a flash scene they shut the game down on him and may have banned him. That was the last I had heard of him that was years ago. The scene that slowed him down was a command I had asked for, I've felt like a shit heel all this time.

All his story games are in black and white with color accents for effects and a very distinct style.
If anyone can by some magic track down some of his old works and post it under any of his pseudonyms, you'd be a god.
'Ghosts and Shadows' was the joke one, 'The Lesser of Two Evils' was the one that got axed early, and 'Overlad' was the porny one the only one truely worth recovering.

Pretty cool artwork. I love the first few pages giving intro to the lords of cinder, made me rewatch the whole intro on youtube and notice some of the details I missed.

The artstyle is just so terrific, and the flashbacks when gaining souls is just madly cool. Shame these things take a lot of time to draw. But it feels like It's one of those things where I see it and think it's neat but I'll forget about it and come back around 2 months later and only see it progress like 5 pages or something. But I don't know, that's just me.
