Apparently, one of the Overwatch developers said that Overwatch will have more than one homosexual character. Could there be a former pairing of these two (Tracer and Widowmaker)? Time will tell, and probably lead to a lot of fresh artwork.

Very doubtful it would be Widowmaker &/or Tracer (for being homosexual).

First, if you read the Overwatch villain's bio, TALON (Overwatch's version of Marvel's HYDRA) who created Widowmaker through kidnapping, brainwashing, & cybernetic enhancement, also partly lobotomized Amélie by replacing parts of her brain with a cybernetic computer. So Widowmaker feels no emotions other than pleasure from when she KILLS people, with a greater feeling of pleasure from killing greater (more challenging) targets, or from completing whatever assignments/missions her TALON handlers upload into her cybernetic brain.

Second, Widowmaker is, literally, a heartless, cold-blooded bitch, her heart replaced with an internal cybernetic pumping system. These internal cybernetics keep her blood flowing, and thus alive and limber, but body temperature low (and thus why she is blue-skinned) so she can infiltrate past infrared/thermal sensors.

Third and finally, Amélie Lacroix was married to one of the leadership officers of Overwatch (before its disbandment). It was for this reason that TALON kidnapped her and converted her into Widowmaker. Her first assignment was to brutally murder her husband in his sleep. She succeeded in her first assignment, and thus earned her moniker.

So for overall tally, these factors are not really in-tune to Widowmaker being a homosexual character.

But none of that matters to most Widowmaker fans, they only see her long legs and sexy curves. ;p

Tracer, on the other hand, "could be" (note "quotations") homosexual; but only because nothing in the Overwatch hero's profile says otherwise to the possibility.

Regardless, there are plenty of others in the Overwatch cast, hero &/or villain, that "could be" (again, note "quotations") homosexual. Plus they (devs) have stated that they will add even more characters as the game progresses.

Personally, I do not care either way about possible homosexualities. Overwatch is an FPS, not an RPG or MMO. ;)

[EDITED]: (much later edit) Huh....guess I was wrong about Tracer being gay. Still does not matter to me though. Unless playing a gay character helps me kill the other team more efficiently, I do not care about the character's sexual orientation. ;)

Widowmaker is like, literally one of the sad victim of their "war" they're in. Blizzard have the tendency to throw in "good to bad" characters in all of their game franchises (warcraft, diablo, starcraft and now this) But i don't really see Blizzard do any "bad to good" characters.
