@herolove: You could be right, but I think the implication is that they were trying to use the sperm to use more dickgrowing potion instead of having to ask Kurt every time.

It is pretty clear from page 8 that kurt turned them down when they asked for sperm, so they had to make a potion so they could produce some themselves.
Also in the end they fail the recipe, another proof that it wasnt the same recipe as the one for making the potion.
