@stycki I don't see your point. I'm using a PC monitor now and I still prefer the other one to this white mesh. I don't see your point in large resolutions. No matter how high def or large your computer screen will get, those pixels aren't going away. I'm not convinced that some decades later, people will seriously be looking for 40 year old hentai. By then, art quality would probably be at a much higher level than today's. Maybe it's just me, but the way you worded your second comment sounded really smug.

It's called alternative scan. For example this one is much higher resolution and has different b/w levels.

@stycki, B/W levels aside (I prefer the other version), if you compare the pics side-by-side, you won't notice lower quality on the other version (1MB per image is more than enough). This is just higher resolution and that isn't of much use because our image viewer is not like the one on that other image board that isn't fakku. Welp, at least it's called "*alternative* scan".

I understand your points. (I personally prefer scans with this kind of b/w levels, but I'm well aware it's probably just me).
If you're looking for quick fap or you are viewing these galleries online on your tablet this scan has probably little of use to you. However PC monitors or other displaying devices will only get better and 10 years from now the resolution of this scan will be a godsend. There is several old works with great art that are only available badly compressed in awful resolution. Only because back then it seemed like it was *more than enough*. It wasn't.
Butcha-U is one of the artists whose works will have something to offer decades from now. Therefore some people might prefer these insane resolution for archiving. Some obviously don't. And that's fine.

Good thing we have things called "*alternative* scan" you know.

Would you kids pipe down! If you saw, it says presented by Saha. You know, Saha of Scantastic! These are NOT REUPLOADS, they're alternative, 100% pure raws scanned by ME, with completely untouched levels, because some people are finicky with that. He paid me to scan them, and they're not going to go to waste. They're deliberately left with unaltered levels, because not everyone has the same preferences, so it's best left to whatever person is editing these for their own translations, which in this case, we were late to the party, but didn't want them to go to waste. And yes, these are indeed the highest res scans, because if you've ever done an edit, you would know the ease of working on huge scans over small scans, and because shockingly, some people prefer really huge ass scans. Also, this is future proofing when normal 2000px scans are considered too small, so you're welcome.

By the way, I do scanning, so if you're interested in anything, look me up. Consider that a sample of what you can have.
