This is an absolutely touching and emotionally gratifying story.

I can really see the uncertainty at first during the later panels where the artist switched to a digital medium, but they seem to really be hitting their stride towards the latest pictures!

It always makes me happy to see someone honing their craft. ^_^

For a couple of decades now, furry fandom has settled on the use of shi and hir as pronouns for hermaphrodites.

Shi, (generally pronounced 'shay'), is used where you would use he/she.
Hir, (pronounced either 'herr' or 'here'), is used where you would use him/her.
Hirs is used instead of his/hers.

Less common is the use of "Shir", (pronounced like 'share'), in the place of Mr/Ms.

@rwpikul No, the furry fandom has not. Only a few weird corners of it has. Most reasonable people still use "she/her" for female-dominant hermaphrodites, and "he/him" for male-dominant hermaphrodites. It's just so much easier, especially considering that, yes, there are two different types of herms.
