If it's only at long intervals (like 100 years) then there's enough time for expansion that the relation might not count as incest.

It does bring up the question of whether the demon lord and hero could be the same person. I did not entirely see too much to imply that hero and demon lord are gender specific roles.

On another note- imagine if it isn't gender specific, and all the gender combos. Female hero jumping the male demon lord like that. And after that you get into yaoi and yuri territory too.

Actually, if it isn't gender specific, there is like a 50/50 chance that the two will end up being the same gender. That could actually end up explaining why the two clans are not as interrelated as they could be.

Being half-hero likely just contributes to being OP as far as being a demon lord goes. That being if it isn't that in one generation multiple children are born and one "turns out" to be the next demon lord and someone from different parents in the hero clan "turns out" to be the next hero.

Then again, there's what TankHunter brings up too. Forgot about that. Although there's the part where there's likely intentional incest at some times in the harem.
