Shigure escorted Ryuuhou (Taigei's second remodel form) on her final mission, when she was attacked and the suicide planes in her hangar detonated, sinking her. Same story as Unryuu. Lesson: don’t carry Ohka suicide planes near Shigure.

That isn't entirely correct. Ryuuhou's last mission was indeed to transport suicuide planes to Taiwan, but she didn't get hit during the attack that happened. She safely returned back to Kure under Isokaze's escort. It was after the mission, while she was stationed at Kure, that she got hit in the air raids. Also she never sank~ She was deemed unrepairable and striked off the navy list, but she survived the war and was scrapped in 1946.

Other than that, yes she was being escorted by Shigure during that mission, along with several other ships like Isokaze... as well as Yukikaze~ Which is even more amazing, she survived with 2 ships that were considered bad omens to everyone else (especially Yukikaze, Pretty fitting since "Snowy Wind" can be connected to the meaning of death, hence why sometimes she tends to be called the harbinger of death)
