It is not time-travelling, he simply forget everything each time when he leave the storage. She can control time and space in the storage thus but nothing in outside. The man back to here again and again not only wanna to find what made him feel so scared, but also because he was enjoying the sex with the insect girl indeed.

Oh and when his mom was calling for him he says he remembers that he came to the storage room to play and his mom was looking for him because it was getting late. When she's in front of the door she mentions "Oh the door is unlocked" and she opens it and says "Making me worried...Just what are you doing in here?"
In the previous chapter, he tells his parents that he wants to check inside the storage and gets the key from them. However, I don't know for sure if that applies in this chapter/timeline but since it wasn't shown how he got the key this time I'll just assume that nothing changed there.
So the most likely scenario here would be that they basically time traveled or she reversed not only him but the entire world.

Now the question is can she move/travel time forward? Going off Newprimus's doll layer idea she probably can't?

@birdoffire: Do you know that for sure because you can understand Japanese? I think I have to disagree because your theory doesn't explain the mother's presence near the ending. If the moth-girl were making the MC forget, then 1) the mother would've been much older and 2) because she was much older the younger version of the MC might be unable to recognize the older version of his mom.

I think the MC and the moth-girl have repeated this cycle many many times, and the MC sort of realizes this. As for the doll, I believe the moth-girl made it to keep herself relatively sane in her loneliness. Notice how it consists of layers of miniature clothing wrapped on top of each other. I'm guessing that's how many times she has reunited and been separated with the MC.

Shes clearly keeping him in a certain event and every time he escapes it triggers a loop so he ends up confused as to why he's standing outside the shed.

I think possibly this time he himself created an alternative event and told his mother to come looking for him if he didnt return from the shed. So his mother went looking for him and this frightened the moth-girl so she possibly twisted her brain and quickly repeated the loop?

Clearly the author wants us to come up with theories
