I think the previous interpretation is correct in that the boxes is meant for the MC's narration. Unless the artist made a mistake by not showing the writings on pg30, it's more consistent to attribute the boxes to the MC's narration since that's how it's done in prior and the following pages.

Personally, based on the original text, I think the boxes from 30~31 is better interpreted as
"Even if she knows it wouldn't do any good (alternatively: 'bears fruit' convey the meaning clearer), especially (after) realizing it for the first and final time, without stopping, without giving up, she (went and) pursued (her) 'love'(yes, there's supposed to be a quotation mark there)"

Since pg29 had the MC saying that the female MC might have mistook her feeling as love (since she had never experienced it before), it makes sense to think that the phrase "But if that had really been love" refers to the female MC's feeling and the following "Even if it wouldn't do any good... etc etc" refers to her actions instead of the MC. Unless, of course, the artist is implying that the MC wouldn't get together with the girl because he thought her feelings weren't real which is kinda weird.

Indeed it is Tsukimura's number, but I'm convinced that there's nothing written on the letter other than the phone number itself as shown in pg30. Thus the boxes in pg30~31 is highly likely to be the MC's narration rather than the female MC's letter to the MC as interpreted here. That is, I think the original translator's assumption is correct in that it's the MC's narration but I believe the narration refers to the female MC's action as I wrote above rather than referring to himself, like how it's translated in the other version.

I could be wrong, but since he ends up marrying Tsukimura (his original crush), it is very likely her phone number in the letter. In that context, my thoughts were that it made more sense that he was reading a letter from Shiroyama. In the end she never ended up pursuing her love.

That was depressing. everything ramped up so hard when she showed her body. almost got me teary-eyed even.

got confused on the phone number thing and why he suddenly got teared up but the end made it clear.
overall, this story was well worth searching up on the reaction image. very touching but a ambigous conclusion for the girl...
