All the character tags are technically wrong or outright wrong. They dont follow dota OR dota 2 (which is just a remake of dota with a new game engine outside wc3) current tags are a dirty mix of playermade nicknames and parts of old names. Note: All dota characters had names from different IPs or Mythology as homages and inspiration/flavour since the game started as a custom map in Warcraft 3. All these are renamed/reworked in Dota 2 by original developer Icefrog and Valve to evade copywrite issues, particularly with Blizzard.

Currently theres no issue with the names since there are few Dota/Dota2 galleries but it could become a problem. As it is the current tags leads do multiple characters.

The blueskinned girl: Luna Moonfang the Moon Rider is the old name. New is Luna the Moon Rider due to copywrite. None of these names is remembered either its all Luna now.
Wrong tag outright. The character in the gallery have the distinct facial markings of Traxex the Drow Ranger hero, name remains the same since dota. Only ever been called Drow Ranger.

The succubus/demon girl: Akasha the Queen of Pain. The name remains unchanged since the old dota due to greek mythology. Is only known as Queen of Pain or QoP by people in forums and chat.

The blond blue dressed girl: Rylai Crestfall the Crystal Maiden is the old name. Offical name is Rylai the Crystal Maiden due to the warcraft copywrite. Is not known outside the name Crystal Maiden/CM now.

Ginger, red dressed girl: Lina Inverse the Slayer is the old name. New is Lina the Slayer due to copywrite. Not remembered, is only called Lina in all situations.

The Warcraft 3 community map "Defense of the Ancients" is a different thing to "Valve's Dota 2" (not an abbreviation, the game is just "Dota 2", and Blizzard tried advertising "Blizzard's Dota 2" at one stage).

Copywrite is not an English word, copyright is. The rename of some of the characters around the Wraith Night update (iirc) was to avoid Trade Mark issues. Notably, Sylvanas Windrunner and Mirana Nightshade are Blizzard TMs and Wraith Night was when the Dota 2 hero "Alleria Windrunner" was renamed to "Lyralei, the Windranger".

Every hero in Dota 2 has a "Name, the Epithet" name, some of which are only mentioned in the background/lore details provided for each hero. So, "Rylai, the Crystal Maiden", "Lina, the Slayer", "Lanaya, the Templar Assassin", "Traxex, the Drow Ranger", "Mirana, the Princess of the Moon", ...

Lina Inverse is a character from the Slayers manga/anime that inspired the Dota character and she was renamed along with Rylai Crestfall before the Dota 2 beta to give them a shared history. Dota 2 lore makes them sisters and neither have a surname. (Though they didn't rename Lina's "Laguna Blade" ability from the anime.)

Rylai Crestfall, the Frost Maiden was invented for Dota-the-map, she recycled the Warcraft 3 model of Jaina Proudmoore (Blizzard TM) and didn't become part of the Warcraft universe until Blizzard added her to WoW as an NPC in 2014 :)

Akasha, the Queen of Pain was also invented for Dota. There is no "Akasha" in greek mythology, the word is sanskrit and the closest inspiration for the character would be Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned.
