Nope. Moonflow's comment is incorrect. The category system uses the artist's nationality, not their artstyle. This has been like that for a while and was up for debate on the forums a while ago, and the final decision from the administrator was not to change how the system works. Why does this comic use both English and Japanese names for Usagi/Serena. Also the teacher used her name wrong as a teacher should use a students family name which is Tsukino.

amazing artwork. This is top notch quality.
Also I dont get why its not categorized as manga. Alot of Manga, especially in the 90's and 80's were Jointly made between France and Japan. and France and Japan goes way back in Animation and art.

So in all honesty, French-Manga is more worthy of a Manga category than Chinese and korean.

Sorry Mabee but its not how it works. No matter how much of a weeb you are and that you claim this comic is "manga-styled", you're not japanese and this work cleary does not look like the work of a japanese manga-ka either.

Hi,just take it easy, bro!I think whether your work is recognized as manga or western doesn't that important at all,for your work is pretty awesome!I like it very very much!Your work style looks like a brandly new style which combine the advantage of both manga and western.If you really want to draw pictures in the manga style,I think you should use more sharp line when you draw human body and human face.BTW,it's exciting to see more your works in your current style!

Thanks for sharing. I think your art is good but at the same time it looks like a lot of the "imitation manga" I've been seeing western amateurs produce for the last 20 years at least.

Even if you were to lie and claim to be Japanese, which I applaud you for not doing, I and many others would know in an instant from looking at this that it is not Japanese made manga and we'd also know it came from a westerner.

Learn in Japan. They'll teach you better than you will teach yourself.

I don't mean any of this as a put down. Like I said I think the art is good and I only want to offer constructive criticism. As someone that used art for my own career path I learned the hard way that constructive criticism is a lot more helpful than the endless butt kissing friends and internet nice guys gave me. Because out in the real world, when I wanted money and recognition for my work, there was no more butt kissing and very little constructive criticism, just a lot of closed doors and a very quiet phone.

I hope your art takes you where you want to go.
