Takakura's expresion on the last panel from page 8 was creepy, really creepy I wonder if that was the mangaka's intention.

There is a degree of finality to Haruka and Senpai consummating their relationship - something that was never resolved during their time together in the past. Looking back at Haruki's previous partners, one can't help but notice all of them were lacking in some degree - one was an older gentleman with a child, another was a younger immature 'punk', yet another older man who couldn't perform well, and then there was also the messy otaku-like individual. Collectively, Shu was trying to discover what he was worth in terms of his relationship with his wife. By selecting flawed individuals, Shu was attempting to cure himself from his inadequacy at the expense of Haruka and her overall discomfort with the arrangements. Shu thought he was in control of his wiling wife.

Now here comes Senpai, with no physical flaws, no emotional baggage, and complete confidence with his domination over Haruka. Haruka CHOSE Senpai. She picked Senpai over Shu in high-school and then she picked him as her next partner. This is interesting because for once, Haruka seems to have turned the tables on her husband and his so-called arrangements. Shu never wanted this to happen, but was perversely committed to seeing it through. His addiction to the turmoil has reached the boiling point and now all the cards are on the table.

There is so much going on right now between the characters that it's a whirlwind of emotion trying to sort things out... And it's awesome.
