My favorite episode of Popeye was always the one with the termites infesting his house and the EXTREME measures he took to alleviate the problem. This was probably because of where I lived as a kid, at the end of every summer flying termites fill the sky every evening after the first rainfall. We would then proceed to go to town on every one of them we could reach with wiffle bats, which always rewarded us with a very satisfying 'smack'. Man those were big fuckin termites.
