Re-take is fucking garbage. ALL the characters are absurdly OOC. It's nothing but a brain dead fapfic for brain dead Asuka fags. And how the fuck is it not "emo bullshit" when Rei fucking hung herself for entirely out of character reasons? You shittards are one of the worst fandoms in existence.

in the original series Rei grew up like a child. She had simple and pure emotions and feelings towards Shinji. She couldn't express herself and clearly in the last6 episodes she said she chest was hurting, but she did not know what that was or how to fix that. Retake took that info and make it a bit more extreme. But even so it's logical because she knew that if she were dead she wouldn't be hurt. The retake is added around episode16 after shinji was absorbed by the shadow angel(I don't remember the true name forgive me) and Asuka's synchrome level started to fall. That time is the period when Rei started to question their relationships
You know what's fucking garbage? Soneone can't draw write construct a piece and still gibbering saying other people's work suck. IF it really sucked, thinking economically, it would be totally impossible to sell an copy of volume 5 of retake because the h-scenes basically disappeared in the fourth volume and people would have to be suckers to expect the next copy should be h-full.
It's obvious that retake has constructed a beautiful timeline and theme and plot or people would not have bought them and the rest wouldn't be even published and there wouldn't be the rated-e version which came out a couple of years later.
If you think Shinji and Rei/Asuka for no reason fucking their brains out with each other is great work, you have a serious problem man.
Also, the guy saying emo shit is also an idiot. You didn't even get the message EoE was giving. Retake is a nice alternative but not fit for the ending.

@zichan Rei 1 loved Gendo (probably had sex with him too). Her feels shifted towards Shinji after he saved her from the entry plug (recreating the exact same circumstances in which Gendo had saved her before). Rei 2's relationship with Gendo was like how the girl feels halfway through a NTR h-manga (right before the mindbreak). Rei 3 HATED Gendo and said "fuck you and your actually planned instrumentality, I'm letting Shinji do it (accidentally turning everyone to LCL in the process)". Rei 1 affectionately clutches Gendo's glasses in EoE before Yui (in the form of Unit 01) eats him and does who knows what?
