You know, I was starting to think I'd lost enough brain cells reading these things to finally say I've gotten used to CGrascal English™, but nope. This might be one of the worst ones ever. Atrocious.

EDIT: I've revised my poor grammar list by separating technical/syntactical errors from those that simply don't sit well with me. Obviously, the former are irrefutably wrong, while the latter can be acceptable depending on the reader. I'm only going to count the technical errors for the poor grammar tag, which requires at least 10 grammatical errors every 40 pages. I'll try to do this as consistently as possible (not like I read everything lol).

Technical/syntactical errors
p4: “Thanks to you, I lost several friends?” - Declarative sentence
p5: “But still, night battles is your strong point?” - Should be “are,” not “is.” Also unclear if this is supposed to be declarative or interrogative
p6: “You’re going to quickly stroke me like the light cruiser you are?” - Imperative sentence
p9: “Equipment is complete?” - Again, unclear if this is supposed to be declarative or interrogative
p9: “Stockpile with torpedoes” - Wrong preposition; should be “on.”
p10: “Needed sincerity is required when you are handling others’ things as well?” - “Needed” is redundant. This is also a declarative sentence.
p12: “They did such a thing. I’m to receive such shame.” - Inconsistent tenses.
p12: “Our comrades, that were sunk instantly, would drool so much, too?” - Should be “who” instead of “that.” Again, declarative sentence.
p18: “You’re going to suck up your filthy pussy juices and clean me up?” - Imperative sentence.
p20: “Do it to her and even my comrades is going to fuck her completely!” - Aside from not making sense, "comrades" is plural and therefore should be followed with "are."

Preferential errors
p4: “If Sendai becomes Kai-2, then she’s going to be cute.” - Awkward
p7: “What you expect from Sendai-chan.” - Awkward. “As expected of Sendai-chan” works better.
p8: “Originally, you’re going to be stockpiled.” - Should be in future tense. Or “You’re going to be stockpiled anyway.”
p9: “You want us to pull it out, but, you’ll be a ship with a broken asshole and oil leaking everywhere.” - Poor wording. The effect doesn’t seem to be linked with the cause.
p18: “I won’t do this… There’s no way I’m going to do this…!” - Dunno how it is in the raw, but it’s kinda weird to be saying this after the fact.
p18: “You’re going to forgive me as I say I’m back?” - “Are you going to forgive me”

Unclear/nonsensical:
p10: “To be honest, we haven’t taken a bath in months. The fixture is nice then.”
p20: “Do it to her and even my comrades is going to fuck her completely!”
p21: “If she can do this, then she’s going to do it?”

With 10 technical errors (not to mention 3 lines that simply don't make sense) in 21 translated pages this release satisfies the conditions of the poor grammar tag.

The thing is that these are all elementary mistakes. One would think that people repeatedly calling CGrascal out for his grammar would make him improve... but he still hasn't.

There are those who argue that CGrascal is better than nothing. If you're fine with his work then good for you; I, however, find his "quality" unacceptable and believe that the stuff he touches is better off left untranslated.

The problems aren't in the translation, it's in the English grammar. If GCrascal had just asked one native English speaker to do a quality check for any of his works we wouldn't be stuck with this garbage.

Besides, does a food critic have to be able to cook well? No, he needs to be able to articulate the pros and cons of a dish. Just like in our case anyone with a fifth grade grasp of English could explain that this translation is pathetic.

I sometimes wonder if "CG Rascal" is an ever changing team... Some days a CG rascal translation is very readable if not actually good and then other days we get particularly bad translations like this one. I'm grateful for the translation so i can at least get the gist of the story but, if I have to stop and decipher what every other sentence means I feel like I'm better off just enjoying the raws.

I'm here to enjoy this doujin, where a girl pleads to get REKT in the same way greedy translators who charges for commissions create incentives for CGRascal to translate doujins that wouldn't ever be translated. These envious translators/their supporters are BTFO as hell that they come up with a list of trivial grammar errors (such as ellipses with two or four points, go figure).

It seems that people here are interested in enjoying this doujin, instead of caring for English 101 classes taught by grammar nazis in comment sections, treating hentai doujins like Shakespeare works/the King James Bible. Otherwise, this doujin wouldn't be rated above 4.5 stars and added to more than 120 favorites. Feels good not wasting money/not waiting someone do the same just to read a delicious hentai work.

By the way, these translators/commissioners want to see this doujin translated by Laruffi.

Pure fallacy. If CGRascal only translated every doujin after being asked for commissions, he would be the richest translator ever, as anyone can see by the amount of works (amazingly) translated by CGR on e-hentai.

Instead of waiting for commissions to get a doujin translated looking like they were done by LaRuffi (as SCSS, LWB, saha, desudesu, afrothunda, tsukuyomi, kalevala, pesu, etc. do), CGRascal doesn't wait. He just translates in real English.

The usual CGR hate train tries to spread negative propaganda, abusing of misleading tags (poor grammar), lists frivolous mistakes (when lwb, saha, pesu, afrothunda and the like commit brutal grammatical errors and atrocious translation errors), again and again, only to end getting REKT when they try to manipulate comment sections (upvoting their propaganda comments and downvoting comments questioning the bandwagon), but they can't do the same on ratings and favorites.

Their last try was on a hal doujin (which was superb, full of justice), trying to force bad ratings on its first hours of upload (average of 2, 2.5 stars), but, for some reason, in a matter of time, this doujin has been rated up to 4 stars. The hate train seems to be aware that the common reader isn't fool, wants to read good hentai works and doesn't want to defend translation/scanlation groups. In other words, the common reader wants fun, not scam translations. That's why CGR translated this doujin.
