A poor translation is certainly better than a rewrite or machine translation since it can at least be fixed. However, most people set the bar a bit higher than "better than rewrite."

Hey dude, it's not perfect but it's a good start. What I do to help my reading is to find original Japanese and then English translations by the pros. Keep practicing and you'll probably only get better.

This is... almost a rewrite. Stuff is changed or not even mentioned at all.

To demonstrate, here's page 3:

In the balloon with the heart, she does not say nya, but something more along the lines of "Well" or "But".
"Mil Holste" would be better than "Mill Horus", since it's a joke based on milch (German for milk) and holstein (German for cow).
In the balloon in the second panel, she says food on earth is delicious. There is no talk about earthlings' homes.
In the large panel she says "My name is Mil Holste... Hmm... But you can call me Mil". She does not mention any planet.
Then she says "You see, I'm doing some sightseeing in space ♥ and I came across this planet called Earth, but I didn't know how large earthlings were, exactly. Nyahahaha ♥"

So yeah... You got... SOME things right. You also got a lot wrong. My suggestion: drop trying to scanlate for now, and keep learning Japanese a while longer! Also keep reading manga. Just don't scanlate them until you're confident that you can understand all of a manga's text. Then you can come back and give us quality work. ;)

Say, blagutten, I was half interested in translating this, unless someone did it first. And you did it first. But I can't be happy about the quality you delivered. I feel an urge to fix it now but I don't know if you want to try and fix it first... Do you mind if I give it a shot? Does anyone else?

Edit: oh yeah, this translation definitely has too much guesswork. In the end, she ends up staying with him in his home, but in this version she apparently leaves. That's completely not right.
Edit 2: I didn't get a response here or on the forums for a few days, so this will be my next project.
