It seems the cook guy knows the wife has her libido shoot through the ceiling when she eats delicious food(like drugs) so he takes advantage of that to have sex with her.

However when her husband returned(chapter 6), the latter didn'teven need the food to make her feel good at sex because he is just that good.

Now cook guy noticed the wife is more happy with her husband rather than him so he's butthurt bu still tries to steal her with food but things aren't going his way (page 168) so he does her while she is onn the phone, aftersex the mood is awkward.
