You know... you'd think people, the translators, would pick up on things on at least a constructive criticism level... Simply put, written English doesn't always directly translate into coherent English or spoken English. I'm sure you're doing well at "translating" but the main issue is your ability to actually adapt it into a proper translated work. Its kind of why we credit people as those who translated the work and those who adapted it to the new language. Its kind of why other people get jobs as translators and adapters rather then just anyone who happen to study it. Kind of the same reason why you don't want people who study 4 years of Spanish or French in high school handling that work over someone who actually uses the language and understands it beyond the school books.

Japanese, in comparison to English, is way too proper and formal sounding in its usage and structure. Even the more modern and casual Japanese is still structurally more formal and akin to older styles of the English language rather then modern English. That is where the main issue to your translations lie whether people realize it or not.

tl; dr? The way you translate stuff is goofy because you don't understand English. Its people having sex and doing all kinds of things yet your translations come out sounding like they belong to a book club of people who love to read needlessly draw out stories because the books sound smart even though at the core they aren't once you get past the fluff.
