Another "going through the motions" story by Sanbun. The next chapter could be the " mother has sex in front of her family, claiming she no longer loves them, and that she is a whore addicted to dicks now" ending we all know is coming and the reader would still get the same effect. He's already pounded this type of story to the ground and turned it into mush, it's time to try something new.

Remember the time when Sanbun made stories that made you have all those feels, yeah looks like he can't no longer do that anymore. Maybe the guy hit his peek or something.

Who knows... maybe were lucky and Sanbun Kyoden makes another "Sayuki no Sato" type of storyline...
that was the most brutal manga Sanbun Kyoden made in my opinion... and i read Sein / Zein... i found that even less disturbing than "Sayuki no Sato"

but sadly... Sayuki no Sato is a piece of "art"... if it was made any other way... it wouldn't have been as disturbing... and if it wasn't that disturbing... it would've just been another Happy go Lucky story... which sadly doesn't effect the average human being that much i guess... and Sanbun Kyoden goes after affecting the reader on a personal level... "Hit them where it hurts"

Happy Ending = Easily forgotten...
Sad Ending = Sticks with you for years...

Lets just say... if Sanbun Kyoden didn't make these more disturbing / mentally attacking manga's... Sanbun Kyoden... wouldn't be Sanbun Kyoden... ^_^

I disagree. It goes beyond simple being "happy" or "sad" for an ending to be memorable. Take the latest Sanbun Kyoden works for example... 0 surprises whatsoever. The guy is deep-set into his confort zone.

Qualty is what makes endings stick with you for years. Sayuki no Sato, as you said, is a perfect example. (:
