I think it's an upscale too. It looks as though the uploader played the game fullscreen on his 1600x1200 monitor and screencapped. Hope he automated the process or it would have been painfully tedious (especially given the number of images).

I saw this on here once, and just bypassed it, then I found some images from a game on SankakuChannel...turns out it was THIS EXACT GAME...I realized that after I performed a search using the game's name as my search tag...then I saw the cover...(The first image in this set) and I was like, "I swear to god I've seen that before...Wait, I HAVE SEEN IT." Now I'm here...and I'm a bit disheartened that it's separated into so many parts...
