That is not necessarily true. I moderated at another forum. And let me tell you that self moderating is not 100% full proof. People will still break the rules and will not report those that are due to being friends with them. Also, some mods were also be friends with some of the same people that broke the rules and will not take care of it if they are reported. So what you said about self moderating sites is not accurate at all. Trust me, I have seen it first hand.
