actually i like the honest type of cosplay; thats why i don't bash or harass chubby or unattractive people (whatever this means in your world) who do cosplay of their favourite comic/manga/anime/film characters. i have respect for those people.

and you gotta admit: there are cosplayers ' for hire' , primary women who can't fucking pronounce their character's names, but stick their tits out at conventions: thats the kind of cosplay i hate

Why is the desire for attention so demonized? Is wanting to be noticed such a bad thing?
These are people who put a significant amount of time, effort, and generally money into their looks and costumes. Of course they want attention, of course they want people to pay attention to something they take great pride in. In cases like this, they usually deserve it too.

There is a difference between wanting people to see and appreciate your costume and looks, and being groped, molested, and treated like a piece of meat. A person dressing 'slutty' doesn't make them a whore, and no matter how provocative they dress, nothing gives a person a right to sexually harass another person. It doesn't matter how a person dresses, they are a person, who deserves the respect of any human being. It is a very simple concept, and if anyone who cannot grasp that has no right to interact with them anyway. If you think that sexual harassment is in any way, shape, or form justified by the victim of it is dressed then you are disgusting and misogynistic.

Please, anyone with half a mind understands woman who dress provocatively do it for attention, wanting and getting attention is part of the human condition, a lot of times it is what drives us.

I don't even care that a lot of cosplay women dress up in slutty clothes, I can appreciate that actually being a man. No, the issue I have is there's been a lot of complaints at cons lately that women who dress this way are "sexualized" and "harassed". I mean seriously, if you dress up like a fucking hooker with your tits hanging out and shit, you better expect and accept that kind of attention.

You don't like sexual comments? You don't like people eye fucking you? You don't like being harassed? That's fine and that's your right and you know how you can stop it? Stop dressing up like fucking whores.
