Shot 41 annoys me. The lighting and model are amazing and nicely shot, but the background and effects kill it. The lighting and colour tone don't match, and that smudged/repeated effect of the light trail looks poorly executed.

Agree with @NoLifingIt on #41. That light effect ruins the composition. On the other hand, #14 and #42 are good examples of how to effectively use aperture to control depth of field.

The DoF in #14 is kept shallow so that focus is on the model's face. I think it would be even better if her left hand were in better focus, but that's a matter of opinion rather than a technical point.

Number 42 is entirely the opposite with a deep DoF. This combined with the angle makes for beautiful foreshortening. The only serious flaw is that the photographer may have been a little too close which put the muzzles just a bit out of focus.

I think she looks pretty hot... and it's nice to see a cosplayer who smiles. I wish the Asian cosplayers would smile more.
