Well Forbiddenfetish77, I think the problem lies with you not knowing anything about typesetting, there are guides out there for that. Just a couple head's ups: Don't use MS Paint, use Anime Ace font or something else than fucking Comic Sans(seriously this gets lot of flack so I really don't understand why people still insist on using it), use justified text and not flush left. That's petty basic stuff.

For the translation itself though I'm happy more people joins in the fun and share their works with us especially if it's not an abomination like Goatse's stuff. Work on your typesetting and keep up the good work, cheers.

Honestly, some of the responses I've been getting here are even more hilarious that what actually happened.
Alright, to clarify:
I'm not complaining at the fact that he "sniped" it. And as long as he's willing to modify his stuff to an at least decent level, I have no reason to complain.
The real joke here is actually on Randomguy664. You see, we were originally gonna work on this. But because my original translator was unexpectedly drowning in other stuff and Randomguy664 had already paid for a translation (Had nothing to do with us. We don't even do commissions.) I finally decided to drop this. That was... last sunday? Well, TLer actually came back right after, saying he got some free time. But since I already said we'd drop it, and intentionally sniping him anyway would be a fricking dickmove, I just let it go.
Now, a few day later, some random dude pops up, and just does the thing.

Also translator notes are quite helpful for those of us with an interest in the language...I like to see them used, not everybody's a mindless idiot who needs to be spoonfed.

Alternative translations don't get expunged, right? This one is done by a newbie, if people care enough to see a better translation (like maybe someone who pays for it), then I don't see anything wrong with people doing different takes.

Obviously, it's better if people avoid duplicating efforts, and it's a good idea to check if someone else is working on it, so you can work on some of the other thousands of works not yet translated.

But believing you have some kind of right over the translation of manga just because someone paid you to, because you usually translate works from that artist (*coff*Fuke*coff*) or something like that, is REALLY STUPID. You don't 'own' this manga anymore than other people from the community does. You don't hold any rights over it, and what people decide to do with it. There is someone who actually does, and we all take advantage from the fact that he/she doesn't know/care/can't do anything about it.

I'd like to see people taking 'sniping' seriously when somebody translates things before guys like CG Rascal.
