@Concerned Citizen: I kinda feel like I should point out that half the reason they're so unintelligible is that in many cases they're actually *less* rewritten than other TLs. (Japanese grammar works very differently from English grammar, so the result of trying to translate word-for-word is a lot like gibberish.)
