What I want to know is why the fuck so many Ah My Goddess doujins are NTR? I can't remember the last time I saw one that wasn't. Honestly Keiichi and Bell having awesome love sex. Is that so hard? Instead more NTR. And I don't see the appeal of it at all.

I think the reason AMG gets a lot of NTR is a lot of doujin authors are jealous of Keiichi (my guess is most of these Doujin artists are single/forever alone), so the NTR is kind of their attempt at catharsis

I think they are wasting their time doing all this Het crap though

Would be a superior story had they focused on Yuri (there's a few scenes of it early on, should have stuck with that, the second they brought in Het the whole doujin was ruined)

Except dap00, as we see in the recent chapters, its not because of Keiichi that they haven't gotten further its because of Heaven and Belldandy putting the lockdown on his desires in order to prevent them from procreating. In addition, Belldandy is too obsessed with Keiichi, she was even cyberstalking him for years before she visited him, she's also a bit yandere at times when it comes to Keiichi.

So how could anyone ever see Belldandy having sex with another male?

Not only would heaven stop it, but also Belldandy just isn't into other guys.

Yuri on the other hand wouldn't run up against either issue. No risk of procreation with two girls and we already know Keiichi wouldn't mind much if Belldandy was having Lesbian sex

It’s a bit discouraging that the title for the final chapter of this story is apparently “Farewell Bell.” I’m guessing this doesn’t turn out well for anyone.

@baxtus: More like the reason there's so much NTR for the series is that no one can actually see Keiichi ever doing anything with Belldandy beyond kissing. Themselves included, frankly.

Okay, so explain this to me: people are jealous of the fact that Keiichi's relationship with Belldandy never progresses? That seems more like a reason not to be jealous. No marriage, no kids, nothing more to look forward to. That's not good! You date someone for twenty years, you expect it to lead somewhere. But for these two it won't. And I should want that? What stands out most to me about them is that Keiichi is BARELY dating a goddess. If anything I pity him. And that's before you factor in all the NTR doujins.

Your claim that Belldandy isn't into other guys doesn't really matter, either: in every major doujin series I've ever seen, the first thing that happens is she gets raped. Her wanting it is never a factor. Instead she either gets talked into or physically trained into accepting and then enjoying sex with others. She never starts out liking it, the sole purpose is to reach a result where Belldandy has so departed from her original character that it's like night and day.

Heaven intervening as a plot is just silly to me. Why send Belldandy to Keiichi at all, then? He was already miserable. Let him stay that way. Tempting him will Belldandy when it can't go anywhere is just cruel. Meanwhile in addition to his already crappy life, he now has to put up with all manner of humans, demons, and angels targeting him because he has a hot girlfriend who can't even help him relieve stress physically. Again, this is something to be jealous of? Not where I'm sitting. And what about ethics? Your job isn't supposed to say who you can date and how. If a relationship has to come with so many restrictions, it either needs major work or shouldn't exist at all. And since the plot of these doujins largely seems to be Belldandy saving the world by gangbangs, that kinda lessens the little relationship she did have with Keiichi. So in both canon and doujin, the most logical result is that they break up immediately. Keiichi just looks like more of a tool in doujin because the self-abuse of staying with Belldandy is more blatant there. But you can blame that on the doujin writers... just as I blame the other train wreck on the original author. And if I'm hazy on the details, it's because I couldn't stand reading it after a certain point. The doujins actually made more sense and felt better written at times. Or at least provided a better reason why the couple is doomed to fail: because it's evil men, rather than Heaven, that's out to get them. Evil people are supposed to be the bad guys. That I can deal with. But Heaven hating this poor kid to this extent? You better show me that he's somehow descended from the biggest demon ever first. Life is messed up enough without Heaven targeting you for no apparent reason.
