Wakfu is not an Anime, it only looks like one. "Anime" is made in Japan, Wakfu is made in France. Use Wikipedia to understand the difference.

Sounds fair to me, Japan to me seems to make better animation than america's animation production, that is in the number of produced animations.

is it really that important how it is made or were from? i usually dont watch animes or cartoons or whatever you want to call it but i think the style of wakfu is really good looking and very cute.

Anime is just an abbreviation of the word animation. In Japan it is applied to all cartoons regardless of their origins. In the watamote manga mokkochi calls MLP anime for example. It is only used as a distinction in the west, just like people use the manga/comic distinction.
