The girl is from a later arc from HxH. Basically, it has a hive-queen that can assimilate the DNA of her prey. So it was an army of chimera creatures, and making this character as one of the higher level guardians. This character did not have so much explicit indications for gender (harder to tell with the original character since it was not to be so human-like). So because of its vaguely feminine appearance and interest in the guy with the bandanna that was vaguely romantic, you get the opinion that leads to this doujin.

I think it was revealed towards the end that it was supposed to be a male, but that could have been the translators I saw that used that distinction.

This was the doujin that got me into Hunter x Hunter.
Before reading this I hadn't seen or read a single Hunter x Hunter anime episode or manga chapter.

When I got to this point in the anime I was like: "Wait, will Gon actually turn into an adult and beat the shit out of her?"

This doujin takes place at an oddly specific time in the hunter x hunter universe. I had actually forgotten who Goreinu was until I saw his gorillas. So due to that and the unexplained references to the complex idea of nen, most readers that were not a big fan of the series would miss out a lot of this doujin. Even so, this doujin's absurd plot will make it most likely the most prominent hunter x hunter doujin to stand out in my memory and that of others. Nefelpitou is also in my opinion the best choice of character to star in a hunter x hunter rape and impregnation doujin so this is something that I feel lucky to see that I thought I never would. Great work and thank you to all involved.
