that's a very valid opinion and i felt bad that people are voting you down for it.

personally, i have dl/read some Kaneyama shin's other work. i do understand what i'm getting myself into. imho, i don't wish this upon anyone IRL. however, this is after all just a fantasy. an escape from reality.

just like the reason why i watch the Saw series or any horror flick. it's so comically bizarre and over the top that it is entertaining. maybe, this is TMI, but i honestly can't keep a full raging boner while reading Hijiri Kangoku Gakuen Vol.1 & 2. oddly, i do enjoy reading them as a manga, kinda like Battle Royale, Berserk, Elfen Lied, Gantz, etc.

if you could put the hentai aspect aside and read it like a manga, Hijiri Kangoku Gakuen Vol.1 & 2 do have a pretty interesting story arc with awesome drawings(seriously, awesome boobies). it's a very dark tragedy psychological thriller. there's the lovable heroine protagonist that you felt bad for and rooting for her escape. constantly, i'm hoping she'll escape by herself or with the help of a others. then there's the bad guys and the guys with "unclear" motives. there's even character development throughout the story.

fucking A, if this doesn't count as a good writing, i don't know what does. Sad as fuck, but imo, it's meant to be read that way. just like you're suppose to hate the bad guys (ie joffrey in game of thrones), because they're evil fucks and not because you're frustrated with the writing/character/acting/etc.

anyway, just my 2 cents. now i'm looking for some happy hentai to cheer me back up.

Is really sad, his art is top notch, but his stories are downright depressing.

I find this sort of work to be very therapeutic and relaxing personally. It's a lovely escape from reality and sometimes when I feel spiteful I just sit back and read one of these kinds of H manga. No one can be faulted for being in the mood for something much more brutal and visceral than usual.
