In January of 2003, Chris Fischer released what has to the the penultimate ending to Disney's Rescue Rangers. It wraps up many of the story arcs and loose ends from the series, even going where Disney couldn't to give the whole thing closure. The comic was the product of approximately three years work, much of which occurred in studios, at soundchecks and on the road (Chris is a musician). It is recognized as one of the greatest works ever produced by a member of the Rescue Ranger fandom, and stands in its own right as a masterfully constructed comic.

Chris' website has been down for some time now and copies of his work are virtually impossible to find, with all references to it linking back to his now-defunct site. After many hours of searching and even more of painstaking page-by-page slow downloads from an obscure Russian fan site, it is my pleasure to re-release Of Mice And Mayhem in its entirety to the Rescue Rangers fanbase.

If you were ever a fan of the show then you'll want to take the time to read and enjoy this, all 231 pages of it.

Gotta say, a darn good story. Not what I had expected when I discovered it. Solid plot, involving characters and a nice little love story in there aswell.

Disney, right now, seem to care very little about the franchises like this that made them famous, instead churning out more and more live action series, and less and less cartoons.
I'm worried that, by the end of 2012, Disney will have very few cartoons left, since they already killed off several of their most popular ones since they reached 65 episodes, and it's only recently that they noticed the foolhardiness of such a act.

Will we ever see a true, Disney-made, ending to the Rescue Rangers?
In Kingdom Hearts, Chip and Dale no longer have their team, and that was our last hope.

chip and dale STARTED by themselves, and gained the rescue rangers along the way, so maybe that'll happen in kh? idk, but i agree, WAY TOO MANY premium cartoons are being cut short when they should never really end. my life as a teenage robot, fairly oddparents, chip and dale, invader zim. the list goes on, none should see less than 100 episodes, but alas, the big name channels are run my simpletons apparently.

Thank you for providing the community with an absolute gem of a story. It's not common that you see something touching as this. Fischer's art style, as I remember it, was rather unique, and it's unfortunate that more of his works weren't ripped. Thankfully his most impressive work was - Of Mice and Mayhem.

i remember seeing this back in the late 80's early 90's a buddy of mine turned me on to it he used to run the ranger girls website on yahoo groups back b4 they turned into such a prude stupid ass yahoo basicly killed themselves

I don't know how I came across this. But i didn't stop reading until the end, the story kept me at the edge of my seat. And when i finished it - I felt such enormous, liberating sense of closure - I was at peace for the first time in my life.
Thank you for uploading it - keeping this story alive is very important - because it gives us what we all secretly wanted (well some of us) - and closure.

5 days passed since I first read this and I still can't think of anything else, I'm happy to see the closure of my childhood but also in deep depression of being alone and not being able to find real love like Chip and Gadget......dammit I'm already 20, why am I so hopeless?
