I understand that large files will help a translator maintain pic quality. And I do hope this manga gets a translation. However, it is my opinion that unless you are printing posters of each picture, 1-2 mb per pic is sufficient. (Emphasis on the word opinion)

Yes, this is a major famous artist's particularly nice work. The large filesizes are useful to translators and the editing team. The person who posted this almost certainly had this in mind OR may have posted this as a possible bounty item as well. In such cases, people want enough filesize to ensure there is less degradation after editing the images.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Nico Pun Nise other works. I know the last two, the succubus and angel stories, shared a relation and I'm hoping this adds to that. If that's the case i wonder what the grander scheme of things will look like.
