Not to be a boner-killer or anything, but if you stopped time you would break the world. Friction would be so immense because you'd be infinetely causing it, you'd destroy everything. Any time you introduce a phenomenon that is not explicitly routed in our understanding of physics, you'll be able to find violations. That logic would apply to all mass-energy being frozen in place (but not true "stoppage" [which would by some accounts cause all mass-energy to cease to exist], just frozen in place), not space-time itself. Within stopped space-time, the force of friction could not be created in the first place, so it couldn't build up in the same place infinitely. The only place energies would be able to be transferred (which is needed to cause friction and kinetic force) would be in the one thing with space-time not stopped, yourself. And in the non-stopped space-time and only the non-stopped space-time, the energy would flow normally, so no infinite build up there either.
